Stefanie’s approach to counselling is rooted in social justice and the belief that all people have the right to self-determination. She offers a warm, validating and affirming environment with a person-centered and strengths-based approach to support clients on their path to achieving their personal goals. Stefanie is welcoming and inclusive of people of all ages, abilities, neurotypes, genders, sexual orientations, socioeconomic backgrounds, and racial, ethnic and cultural identities.
Stefanie’s primary area of interest is in supporting neurodivergent children, youth and their caregivers. She has additional education, training and personal experience in neurodiversity and neurodevelopmental conditions including autism, ADHD, apraxia, and learning disabilities. She is knowledgeable of communication differences and experienced in augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) and believes all forms of communication are valid. She incorporates play and special interests into sessions and is working towards becoming a Certified Play Therapist.
Stefanie has a background in gender equity and has additional training and interest in supporting the 2SLGBTQIA+ community. Other areas of interest include disability, anxiety in children and youth, and perinatal care.
Stefanie moved to the Yukon almost 20 years ago and has enjoyed the privilege of learning and working alongside Yukon First Nations People in several different capacities. She takes an anti-oppressive, decolonizing and intersectional approach to her work and supports the social model of disability.

Dana Mills is a compassionate and dedicated therapist who has experience supporting children, youth, adults and families navigate life’s challenges including trauma, grief, relationships issues, anxiety, depression, suicide and self-harm. Her practice is based in empathy and warmth and she utilizes evidence-based techniques to foster personal growth and resilience. Dana draws on experience and training from various modalities including cognitive behavioural therapy, cognitive processing therapy, narrative therapy and attachment and somatic based approaches to meet each individuals’ unique needs.
